Self-sufficiency is worth every penny
Posted by DamianI have had the solar Array backpack for a number of years in the old style and have loved having it everywhere I have been, which included a trip to Bologna, trekking through the hills of the Appenines, a trip to Acapulco, and Puerto Vallarta Mexico, as well as numerous jaunts through many towns and locales in Northern and Southern California. It has served my incredibly well, and I was excited to back the new design, which improves upon the old design slightly. The case is semi-rigid, which creates a nice pocket for stuff that won't get smushed as easily. Great for photographers, and protecting sensitive photo equipment and having the freedom in the wild to keep your devices fully charged for free. The battery is very good, able to charge anything from cellphones and GPS devices, to cameras and laptops. The solar panels produce a good amount of energy on their own, enough to keep a cellphone from dying while sending a critical text. (Happened before). All in all, this is an excellent product for those self-sufficiency seekers who love to be out in the wild, but can't live without energy for devices. I highly recommend this backpack to travelers, photographers, anyone that makes the world their office, and even to the average person who wants to save a bit on their energy bill by charging up their energy hungry devices using the freely available, immense power of the sun.

Great product
Posted by DaveI spend a lot of time on boats and road ways while inspecting bridges. I have had my three pannel pack for one year now and I cannot be with out it. I keep my crews phones and computers charged all day long. I also travel a lot and I never have a problem finding a charging outlet in airports.

Have since just before Christmas and have used every work day since
Posted by JackShort review,
Love this, its what I've wanted for my commutes and once weather clears up it's what I intend to use for hiking while staying connected.
The way the backpack is designed, it's stays semi rigid, top opens up and I have easy access to everything. The compartments and pockets keep thing separated for me by function and size that suits me.
Zippers and threads seem to be very good quality and from experience with other back packs would guess right now that these will hold up with time and use. For me this equates that it will give me long term use of a product for the money spent rather than something that will need to be replaced sooner rather than latter due to continued but not abusive use.
Trying to say I think it's going to be a great value. Cheers to the makers of this : ) -
Quality built, remarkable efficiency
Posted by JarekI have travelled with the Array Solar Backpack for two years now, including four expeditions into the Himalayas with extensive filming and photography and little to no electricity available to charge equipment. I can safely say that Array has saved our day each and every time - charging camera batteries, laptops and smartphones has never been easier, and the efficiency of the solar panels and Voltaic's battery system is simply impressive. On top of that, after all the travels and trekking, often in really harsh conditions, the backpack itself has held together remarkably well - a testament to the quality of its built. Highly recommended, well-thought out peace of equipment, and frankly indispensable on long treks if you're filming or shooting.
